Over dramatic material girl

I’ve been looking back at my life and I’ve realised something, I am a very materialist person. I love shopping, it makes me happy when I go out and buy new things. I like clothes, I like jewellery, I like shoes, I like gems, I like diamonds and emeralds plus I like buying crap that I hardly ever use once I’ve bought it. I love it when my parents buy me things; I love it when I buy myself things, I love receiving gifts no matter how small a gift. Yes, I do like to be spoiled by my parents but I don’t expect things like designer clothes/handbags, I just like getting normal clothes/handbags – (not that that’s any better).

I know they say the best things in life are free – happiness and love. However, I do have to admit that buying myself a new pair of shoes does also make me happy. Is that so bad?

In other news, my limited edition Jo Malone perfume bottle broken – with the contents spilling all out my carpet  I cried. No really I did. £64 limited edition perfume all over my carpet. I managed to save a tiny bit, which is now residing in a boots glasses cleaner bottle. I am still so upset, I even contacted Jo Malone to see if I can buy another one and they said it’s no longer selling. I am even more upset now that I’ve reminded myself I can’t get it. My only hope is either ebay or travelling around England to try to get it. Yes, eBay is my only option but I really doubt I will buy it off ebay I will be too worried about being ripped off. I am going back into the corner and cry. :emo: :o ww:

Where we crash and burn and flats are trashed

Thank god, for the F1 otherwise last weekend would have been absolutely dreadful.

Oh wait no, it was. Last week, my tenant left my flat (apartment) and so we went to view the property to make sure that everything was okay before we released the deposit. I wish we hadn’t bothered. The flat was a mess, furniture broken, stains all over the cupboards and cooker, toilet was… best not to even go there, shower fittings broken, photo frames broken … and the list goes on. Moreover, all this from tenants who aren’t students/young/party rockers etc, no they were quite well off in very good jobs. It’s just disgusting. I am currently renting a house close to work and I freak out every time I see a small wear on the carpet. I can’t believe how disrespectful people can be. At the end of that you are living in someone else’s house, I am not saying you need to walk on tiptoes but come on. Then again, I was telling people at work and someone said one of her friends had holes left in the walls courtesy of tenants so maybe mine weren’t that bad but. It’s just a hassle, I have to replace the furniture, call someone to remove the broken furniture and hire someone to come and clean the place, because I am sure not going to clean that mess. :grumpy:

So in other news England are out of the world cup after a really embarrassing game against Germany and the papers are full of stories about football hooligans like burning a Germany flag (WTF?) and even worse attacking this poor German person (absolutely disgusting) As I said, embarrassing in every sense.

2 weeks ago, I was away in Reading on a course for work related purposes. It was very good, and very useful so I am happy I went although some of my predictions about what would happen were correct. I will leave that there, as since its work I don’t want to talk about in my blog and mainly because once I start to moan about work, I can’t stop.

Which is probably a good place to leave this blog as I now need to get ready for work
