Over dramatic material girl
I’ve been looking back at my life and I’ve realised something, I am a very materialist person. I love shopping, it makes me happy when I go out and buy new things. I like clothes, I like jewellery, I like shoes, I like gems, I like diamonds and emeralds plus I like buying crap that I hardly ever use once I’ve bought it. I love it when my parents buy me things; I love it when I buy myself things, I love receiving gifts no matter how small a gift. Yes, I do like to be spoiled by my parents but I don’t expect things like designer clothes/handbags, I just like getting normal clothes/handbags – (not that that’s any better).
I know they say the best things in life are free – happiness and love. However, I do have to admit that buying myself a new pair of shoes does also make me happy. Is that so bad?
In other news, my limited edition Jo Malone perfume bottle broken – with the contents spilling all out my carpet
I cried. No really I did. £64 limited edition perfume all over my carpet. I managed to save a tiny bit, which is now residing in a boots glasses cleaner bottle. I am still so upset, I even contacted Jo Malone to see if I can buy another one and they said it’s no longer selling. I am even more upset now that I’ve reminded myself I can’t get it. My only hope is either ebay or travelling around England to try to get it. Yes, eBay is my only option but I really doubt I will buy it off ebay I will be too worried about being ripped off. I am going back into the corner and cry. :emo:

In other, other news, I finally saw a cute guy in all of North Yorkshire last weekend(not that I’ve visited much of it but still finally!) and another one on the train so last weekend was a good day for guy spotting. Not that I am that shallow or anything. No really, I am
Then again, if you lived in here Stokesley you would realise what a big deal this is. :yum:
So for the rest of this month and next I am going to have to start packing to move down to Hertfordshire. I hate packing, you move things around and then the spiders come for you! Last week alone, I vacuumed up about 8 spiders then I found out they don’t die in there and can come back out. Which means I’ve probably vacuumed the same spider around 12 times now. How the hell am I meant to keep the Hoover on at 4am when I’ve woken up to go to the toilet and there is one right there on the wall? I hate spiders they are from the evil of evil sides. Next time, I am going to use my shoe on them then Hoover them up or use Raid and then Hoover them up. Or just get a big wet fish. I think the fish has the best chance. In other, other, other news, there are too many insects around here. It might be because I am killing all of Stokesley spider population. Opps.
In other, other, other news. I finally updated a fanfiction, which was last updated in 2005. For those who wrote/write fanfiction will understand how news worthy this is.

I’ve never spent that much on a perfume bottle in my life!
I get all mine from Avon, they’re cheaper AND they smell nice. You should try them.
ARGH!
I hate spiders.
We’ve been getting quite a few round the house as well.
I think it might be because of all this hot weather we’ve been getting for the past couple of weeks.
Cannot wait for it to start raining again
PICTURES OF HOT GUYS YOU FIND PLEASE <3
I think everyone who reads your blog would like to see them and drool over them.
Then we can break your WP like you nearly broke mine
Aww Huma!
You’re like me! I love shoes, clothes, books, anything else I can get my hands on using my money. I went broke buying books this summer (really sad) so I have to stop that process for quite some time. It’s okay, I think that if you’re level headed about it and you acknowledge and know that the best stuff in life are free then I don’t see the problem of wanting nice things in life, because I personally do think that buy some stuf do give you a boost of happiness… like clothes!
I understand how important it is for guy spotting – there are nil date-able men where i live. They’re all so unattractive and rude and they have no right to coming from a small town.
It’s nothing wrong with being materialistic if you only spend what you can afford. Wow, sorry about your perfume. Everybody has certain things they really value. How did it break, btw? lol @ guy spotting. I hate spiders, and bugs in general.
“Cause we are liiiiiving in a material world, and I am a material girl! You know that we are liiiiiving in a material world, and I am a material girl!” [/obnoxious singing into a hairbrush]
Very sorry to hear about your perfume :C Precisely why I don’t have any glass perfume bottles–I am prone to knocking things off dresser tops and counter tops. My website should be called “Clumsy.Me.” XD
I did a search on Ebay.co.uk and Amazon.co.uk for said perfume and came up with a lot of results on Ebay–wasn’t sure which one was the one you were looking for, though. Going to post the link below, if it will let me!

Ah, spiders. My boyfriend hates hates hates them, and I usually let them live unless they threaten my space. (Like the one that was about the size of a COMPACT DISC with legs extended fully…ugggghhhhh, that one went AWAY.) But, if you have a large pair of boots, I’d say go on a spider-stomping expedition through your house!

Also, U HAS FANFIC? WHERE?!

Last thing, I promise: I read your last entry about the flat-trashing tenants. May their left socks always be eaten by the washer, and if not by the washer, then by the dryer. Grr. I roomed with a girl who might have been related to them–she deep-fried food all the time at 5:00 am (quite loudly), and left the stove in almost inoperable condition. Sigh. I feel your pain. *sends hugs*

I’m doing well! Currently being a bum/looking for work. Thinking about doing some freelance web design work, but I’m not really formally trained in it :C Oh well. Otherwise, doing my website stuff like usual, updating and adding new stuff all the time (well, as often as possible).
And I’m sure your fanfics do not suck. Suckage = deep-frying food at 5:00 am and screaming all the while. XD I did tell her one time not-so-politely to “stop screaming because I have to teach at 8:00 am”, but I don’t think it stuck. XD
haha, there is definitely nothing wrong with liking new things! i absolutely love shopping, too, and i’m so happy when i have new clothes or shoes to wear – it’s just plain fun (besides, that particular feeling just comes with being female ). it’s just bad when someone defines herself through the things she owns, or comes to rely on those things to make her happy. so long as you remember that, keep on getting the good stuff.
Awee….c’mere *warm hugz*
Hun, I totally feel for you darlin!!!!!! I would be pissed if my favorite perfume broke – I be raising hell *LITERALLY* I do hope they have another limited edition release hun!!!! AWE!!!!!
You and I are SOOOO ALIKE when it comes to shopping and showered with pressies by loved ones!!! Only for me my parents no longer give a damn enough to shower me with pressies – but I shower myself with pressies (EXPENSIVE PRESSIES) every chance I get *winx*
Ain’t no crime in being a materialistic gurl cuz if there was you and I would be cell mates!!! *ROFL*
I am a self proclaim shopaholic who needs some SERIOUS REHAB HELP!!!! *gigglez*
Anywayz, sorry to hear bout ya perfume gain – am sure they will do another limited edition hun – AM POSITIVE!!!!
Lotsa love *mwah*
I’m just like you girl, so I dont think theres anything wrong or something bad about being this way. I get more happy with materials than with humans sometimes. Its pathetic to say it, but its true. Honestly, I rather go shopping now then go hang out with friends. I guess Ive changed a lot to over the years, you eventually come to realize that sometimes being alone and doing things for yourself is HELLA lot better than just going to some movie. =/ and trust me, it’s not wrong at all. Most girls are honestly like this, even if they don;t admit it.
Nothing wrong with being a material girl and buying yourself stuff. I think that it’s only bad if the want of materials actively consumes your mind… and I doubt that many people are actually that bad.
I don’t like moving. Being a college student, I’ve been moving from dorm to dorm, and I hate packing up. You find tons of disgusting things and wish that they’d just go away. Hopefully your new place is very clean and happy for you!
